Brittanee Marie Drexel

Brittanee Marie Drexel

New York teen Brittanee Drexel had “her mind set” on spring break in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Her mom didn’t want her to go, but the strong-willed 17-year-old from Rochester, N.Y., went anyway — now she’s missing, and her mom fears the worst.

Brittanee’s mom, Dawn Drexel, said her daughter made it to the hotel and kept in touch until last Saturday night (4/25/2009.) That’s when the messages suddenly stopped and the high school junior vanished, seemingly without a trace, she said.

“It’s a parent’s worst nightmare,” said Drexel. “There’s a lot of things that don’t add up, and I’m scared that there’s the possibility that she’s not alive.” - from FoxNews

Brittanee Drexel, a junior at Gates Chili High School in Rochester, NY, is now missing after having been on spring break in Myrtle Beach. When Brittanee was last seen, she had blonde highlights in her hair.

Brittanee left for Myrtle Beach on Wednesday, April, 22nd, and was last heard from on Saturday, April, 25, 2009. Brittanee and her friends were staying at the Bar Harbor Hotel at 1010 North Ocean Boulevard in downtown Myrtle.

She last spoke with her mother, Dawn Drexel, at 2:00 p.m. Saturday and also telephoned her boyfriend at 8:00 p.m. that night. Brittanee reportedly suffers from depression.
